Professors enter marks per course outcome

Marks are recorded against the CO they assess — for the divisions a professor actually teaches — with bulk CSV import for a full class at once. Missing-marks alerts flag gaps before they matter.

Direct attainment is computed from those marks

As scores come in, each CO’s direct attainment is calculated against your thresholds — no separate sheet, no end-of-term re-entry.

Course-exit surveys feed indirect attainment

Students rate each course at semester end through the built-in survey. Those responses flow into the same attainment engine as the indirect component — not a form that disappears into a drawer.

CO rolls up to PO through your mapping

Course outcomes aggregate into programme outcome attainment via your CO–PO mapping, so the PO picture updates the moment the underlying marks do.

How is CO/PO attainment calculated?

Direct attainment comes from the marks professors enter against each course outcome, measured against your thresholds. Indirect attainment comes from the built-in course-exit survey. Both feed one engine, and course outcomes aggregate into programme outcomes through your CO–PO mapping — so the whole chain updates whenever a mark changes.

Do professors have to learn a new way of entering marks?

They enter marks against the course outcome each assessment measures, for the divisions they teach, with CSV import for a full class. The attainment maths happens after that — faculty don’t build or touch an attainment sheet.

Does this replace our NBA self-assessment report?

It replaces the spreadsheet marathon behind the attainment sections — the CO/PO matrix, the direct/indirect split, the roll-up — with numbers computed from live data. You still assemble the SAR, but the attainment evidence in it is generated, not hand-built.

What about NAAC and NIRF?

The same data supports both: NAAC evidence is uploaded and tagged to a criterion the week an event happens, and NIRF metrics like faculty-student ratio and PhD-qualified percentage are computed live from records your institution already holds.
