NIRF data management software

Most institutions rebuild NIRF metrics from scratch every submission, from whichever files are current. AttendMetric keeps figures like faculty–student ratio and PhD-qualified faculty percentage computed live from the records you already maintain.

The reporting-cycle problem

The data exists — the outputs don’t

Rebuilt from scratch every cycle

Faculty counts, qualifications and student numbers get re-collected and re-tallied for every submission, from whichever files happen to be current.

Numbers that don’t reconcile

The ratio in the NIRF sheet, the one in the NAAC file and the one HR quotes rarely match, because each was assembled separately.

The data already exists — elsewhere

Faculty records, PhD status and enrolment are all in the system that runs the campus day to day. What’s missing is anything that turns them into NIRF outputs.

How it works

Computed, not compiled

Faculty–student ratio, live

Computed from the same faculty and student records the institution maintains for everything else — so it moves when the underlying numbers move, not once a year.

PhD-qualified faculty percentage

Derived from faculty qualification data already on file. Update a professor’s record and the percentage reflects it immediately.

One set of numbers

The same underlying records feed CO/PO attainment and NAAC evidence too, so the figures line up across submissions instead of diverging.

Current at any moment

Because it’s computed, not compiled, the metrics are ready whenever a reporting window opens — no scramble to reassemble them.

In practice

From records to ready figures

01

Institutional data lives in one place

Departments, faculty, qualifications, branches and enrolment are set up and maintained by your IT-Admin, with bulk CSV import for the initial load.

02

Metrics are computed from it

Faculty–student ratio and PhD-qualified percentage are calculated from those live records — not entered separately into a report.

03

Pull the figures when you need them

When a NIRF window opens, the numbers already reflect the current state of the institution.

Questions

NIRF data management, answered

What does NIRF data management software actually do?

It keeps the institutional metrics NIRF asks for — such as faculty–student ratio and the percentage of PhD-qualified faculty — computed from your live records, so they’re current whenever you need them instead of being reassembled from spreadsheets each cycle.

Which NIRF metrics does AttendMetric compute?

Faculty–student ratio and PhD-qualified faculty percentage are derived automatically from the faculty and student records your IT-Admin maintains. Other submission items still involve institutional input, but these ratios stay live off the same data.

How is this different from keeping a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet is a snapshot someone builds and then has to rebuild. Here the metrics are calculated from the records that are already being kept up to date for daily operations, so they don’t drift and don’t need a separate data-collection exercise.

Does it also help with NAAC and NBA?

Yes — the same underlying attendance, marks and faculty data also feed CO/PO attainment for NBA and criterion-tagged evidence for NAAC, so the numbers reconcile across all three.

Stop rebuilding the same numbers

NIRF metrics kept live off your existing records — ready whenever the window opens.
